Events for the summer 2017 across North Norfolk

Burnham Market is, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful parts of North Norfolk and we are very lucky to be able to call it home.  As we move into summer, the countryside around us springs into life; the grass is greener as are the trees, the sun is shining and the local folk begin to make arrangements for a summer of events and fun.

From flowers to animals and farming, right through to arts and crafts, Burnham Market and the surrounding areas have got a lot coming up and we couldn’t be more excited.

Burnhams Flower Show and Carnival

If horticulture is your thing, make a ring around Saturday 15th July in your calendar as the Burnhams Flower Show and Carnival comes to town!  Starting at 1pm and going on till 5:30pm, this family fun day will be jam packed with flora, fun and food.  Alongside the usual displays of fruit and vegetables, there will also be plenty of live music, games, sideshows and entertainment to keep you and your little ones happy.

Holkham Country Fair

A little further round the bend and you are treated to the Holkham Country Fair, which runs over two days in July (Sat 22nd– Sun 23rd) on the wonderful Holkham Estate. This fair has a stellar reputation and this year is no exception, with ‘Dhzigitovka! The Way of The Cossack Warrior’ sure to amaze you with their horsemanship, precision and skill in a fast-paced stunt riding extravaganza and a first for Holkham, the RAF Aerobatics Team, The Red Arrows taking centre stage on Sunday.

Other events include:

If you are looking to come for the weekend and wish to stay over locally, we have some stunning rooms that are family and dog friendly.  Check out our availability here but be quick as rooms tend to go fast for this weekend.

Burnham Market Craft Fair

A great idea for something to do in the summer holidays, the Burnham Market craft fair is run by local volunteers, with free entry and lots to see and do.  This years event will be held on Saturday 19th August from 10am onwards on the Burnham Market Village Greens and is a great day out for all the family.  Traditional, local and regional crafts of all kinds will be on display, with local artists, designers and artisans coming along to show off their talents, totalling in over 100 stalls for you to browse, which include:

There is parking available, and you can just as easily pop over on the Coasthopper bus.  If you are staying in one of our rooms for that weekend, parking is included so you are just a small stroll away from the action.

With all this going on in such a beautiful setting, why not book a family weekend break over one of these dates and stay with us?  We have a selection of cosy rooms, a bar and a restaurant, with a new menu using only the best local produce.
